Grad Night will be held on Saturday, June 1st, 9:30 p.m.–5:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 2nd at the Mill Valley Community Center.
This special evening is a safe and sober celebration and is highly anticipated by the graduating seniors. It provides the final opportunity for the Class of 2024 to be together in its entirety as a group. We will have plenty of fun indoor and outdoor activities and food/drinks throughout the evening and into the morning.
This permission form is required in advance for admittance, and must be signed by both a parent and the student and submitted by Thursday, May 16.
Want to help make Grad Night magical for our Seniors? Join us at Mill Valley Community Center for a three-hour shift on June 1st, 3-6 pm. We’ll be decorating, hanging lights, setting up a cafe, setting up games, arranging snacks and more. We would love your help. Sign up here!
Important information for parents:
Students should plan to bring:
- Beach blanket
- Sleeping bag & pillow
- Warm jacket & Sweatpants
- Warm Hat
- Swim Suit & Towel
Graduates must be signed in by a parent between 9:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. at the Mill Valley Community Center. Carpooling is great, but a parent/guardian driver must come inside to sign in all the students in his/her car.
There is no overnight parking at the Mill Valley Community Center.
At 10:00 p.m. the doors will be closed for the evening.
Parents/guardians are asked to sign their child out at 5:00 a.m. Graduates are not allowed to drive themselves home since they will be extremely tired. Driving while tired is as dangerous as driving under the influence. Again, carpooling is encouraged, and the adult driver should come in and sign out all the students in his/her car.
Graduates should plan to stay for the entire event, 9:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
No one may leave the party before 5:00 a.m. unless we have received prior written permission from a parent or guardian and the student is picked up and signed out.
No beverage bottles of any kind are allowed. Food and drinks will be provided.
This special event is for Marin Academy Class of 2024 students only.
MA 2024 Drug and Alcohol Policy will be in effect. No one under the influence will be admitted. There will be a no “in-and-out” policy after arrival. No smoking, drinking, or drug use is allowed. Parents will be called to pick up their graduate if they violate this policy.
PLEASE NOTE: This is an indoor/outdoor event. Please make sure your student has the appropriate clothing for a cold and/or wet Mill Valley night outside – bring plenty of layers!
